Cordless SDS Drill Advantages
- Allow you the freedom of working without cables
- You can reach into tight places to get the job done
- Added weight of the drill unit can come in handy when drilling through tough surfaces, providing momentum to your drilling action
- Batteries on more expensive (industrial models) can be charged relatively quickly, i.e. less than 3 hours
Cordless SDS Drill Disadvantages
- Battery unit adds weight to the drill – making them harder to use up ladders or where balance/stability is hard to acheive
- You are restricted by the batteries charge – you’ll need to carry spare batteries if you wish to continue working after it goes flat
- Some cheaper models can take 12 hours to fully charge
